Unity in Marin reimagines a historic Spanish-style Air Force base chapel as a vibrant spiritual home for the Marin community. Respecting the building’s architectural character, the design expands its role as a place for gathering, reflection, and celebration. A covered, tiled colonnade extends the original structure to define a mission-inspired courtyard anchored by a calming fountain symbolizing renewal and continuity. Radiating stone pavers connect the courtyard to surrounding lawns, seamlessly blending architecture and landscape. Together, the courtyard and colonnade form a flexible outdoor sanctuary for reflection, community events, and weddings. Additional spaces - including a labyrinth, meditation fountain, pergola, and circular tree grove - create a welcoming place of rest and contemplation for all.
