The Mills High School Athletic Complex project is another high-quality fields and tennis renovation effort led by Carducci Associates.  Working with a team of civil, structural and electrical engineers, we took a variety of natural turf fields and renovated them to synthetic turf in order to minimize water use, extend field use and access and to also provide nighttime use of the fields for the school and surrounding community.  In addition to converting the baseball, softball and multipurpose fields, new tennis courts were also constructed. New light poles were integral to extend the use of the fields and courts and were also installed at the swimming pool.  New concrete tiered seating offers an integrated viewing experience for visitors, with new press boxes to enhance game enjoyment. Carducci Associates worked closely with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to coordinate design and construction that accommodated the Hetch Hetchy water supply infrastructure that runs beneath portions of this site.  Other renovations include improvements to accessible routes of travel and all furnishings to accommodate access for all users and visitors of the athletic grounds, new signage and pedestrian lighting, fencing and planting.
