Tamalpais High School Athletic Fields
As part of a field modernization bond program, Carducci & Associates, Inc. completed a master plan design and DSA construction approvals of field renovations for all three high schools in the district. Tamalpais High School, located in Mill Valley, California, involved new baseball and softball fields in natural grass and a synthetic multi-use field lined for football and soccer surrounded by an all-weather, eight-lane, 400-meter track. Field events are located in the 'D' zones or adjacent areas visible from the bleachers. This project involved a high degree of public participation and geotechnical and civil engineering to provide the best design possible that balances impacts from settlement and flooding due to adjacency to the bay and bay mud soils.
