The sports fields at Portal Middle School, located in Cupertino, are made possible by the joint use agreement between the school district and the city
in which land is shared between Portal Park and Portal Middle School. Part of Portal Park land was converted to help accommodate the needs of the students.
Carducci & Associates studied the space available and was able to configure a layout that includes softball fields, soccer fields, a discus field, a shot put field, a
long jump, a triple jump, a jogging path, a straight track, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a sports apparatus area.
