The 60-acre redeveloped Milk Farm, located just off I-80 in Dixon, California, will provide travelers and neighbors with rest, refreshment, and educational opportunities.
The site will contain restaurants, a retail center, a transportation station, a germ plasm repository, a wellness center, a museum, and the corporate headquarters for
Moller International. It is envisioned as a place where research, learning, and commercial activity exist harmoniously with farming and history.
The farm like character
of the site will be exemplified through landscape features such as crops and orchards, hedgerows, farm structures, a pond, a corn maze, vegetated swales, and
educational signage. Other site design elements will include wildlife habitat enhancement, storm water retention basins, biofiltration swales, eco-pavers, orchard
parking, structural soil, recycled water for irrigation, and alternative energy sources.
