Hamilton Community Park is an 81-acre community-envisioned master plan located in the northwestern corner of Hamilton Field, a former military base.
The park includes a connection to the Bay Trail, baseball and soccer fields, a putting green, tennis courts with spectator seating, a large pond and an area called
Adventure Island, which features a ropes course and play area for children. In addition to the playing fields and youth area, which encompass about 50 acres, the
master plan offers sculpture gardens for meditation, a wedding pavilion, private picnic areas and a "Sport Court" with a skate park, volleyball and basketball courts
and a roller hockey rink.
Environmental amenities such as the "Black Forest" riparian woodland and Pacheco Creek are restored as a part of the park. Carducci &
Associates has made a priority of incorporating innovative stormwater management systems to reduce point source pollution and to manage flooding that could affect
water quality.
