The City of Dublin selected Carducci & Associates, Inc. to complete master planning and development of Emerald Glen Park, expanding the existing park from 28 to 49 acres. Additions include a sports complex, a corporation yard, and a fountain at the terminus of the park's main pedestrian corridor. The city commissioned Ned Kahn, an artist well known for sculptural elements that interact with the natural world around them, to design a series of nozzles for the fountain that interact with wind, providing a fascinating, ever-changing art piece. The sports complex expansion includes three soccer fields and a Little League baseball field, located between the built areas of the park and Tassajara Creek. A natural buffer between the sports complex expansion and the creek includes picnic areas and wooded mounds that transition to the creek's natural setting. |

Carducci & Associates, Inc. is providing services to the City of Dublin for the schematic design, design development and construction documentation of Phase 2 of a new community park. This phase of the work is the cornerstone of the park, providing a first impression for visitors. Park elements include a water feature, public art, pergolas and gathering spaces. Emerald Glen Phase 3 is a 14-acre park, that includes: two soccer fields, a cricket overlay, bocce courts, a group- picnic area with circular trellis, and restrooms, a bio-basin, bio-swales, a play area and a play hill, and connections to the creek.The project involved a very successful community process, with meetings, and public workshops to vote on the various park features and establish a final plan with public support. |
