In collaboration with San Mateo Unified School District, Carducci & Associates, Inc. was commissioned to renovate the track
and field and relocate the softball infields at Aragon High School. The redesign of the track and field included bleachers, underground electrical for future sports lighting, and a
multi-use synthetic field for football, soccer, and other related sports. The field is surrounded by an eight-lane, 400-meter all-weather
track. These additions and improvements will increase ADA access and player safety, result in fewer injuries, and provide
year-round usage for students as well as members of the community.
For the relocation of the softball infields and backstops, the scope included tree removal, tree
preservation, paving, fencing, grading, drainage, ADA access, bleachers, companion seating, irrigation, landscape
design improvements, and DSA approval for existing softball fields for the San Mateo Union High School District.
